How long have you been working for Internet Videocommunications and what do you do?
I have recently had my 1 year anniversary of working for Internet Videocommunications – I had brown hair when I started. I am the focal point for all things Logistics.
What’s your favourite thing about working for Internet Videocommunications?
The varied working day. Offloading vehicles one minute, researching customs protocols the next and then logistics admin, and of course sharing my very sad jokes and watching the faces pulled and listening to the groans of the assembled audience.
What do you see as being the next big thing in the industry?
Anything is possible, we are only limited by our imagination, so maybe holograms / holographic meetings or meeting hosts. Maybe these are already here?
When you are not working what do you like to do?
I think everyone in the business knows that I enjoy going to my static caravan at weekends and enjoying a glass of wine or three on the deck (yep caravan not yacht)
Name three famous people you would like to have dinner with and why?
Jamie Oliver – As he would be cooking the dinner.
Linda Lusardi – As she is like a vintage bottle of wine – she has aged well.
Tim Vine – As his one liner style of joke telling is right up my street and I would have some new jokes to tell everybody in the business – twice!
What talent do you wish you had?
I always regret not learning UK sign language.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
I was told at a very early age that there is more than one way to skin a cat, which has always made me think laterally to find solutions.
