Fast approaching 10 years of service with Internet Videocommunications Lee is an expert in integration and turns our customers' collaborative desires into reality. Here he takes us through what he sees as the next big things in AV and his all important dinner guests.
How long have you been working for Internet Videocommunications and what do you do?
I’ve been working for Internet Videocommunications since January 2011, and am responsible for client designs.
What’s your favourite thing about working for Internet Videocommunications?
Working collaboratively with clients on system designs and discussing new technology and approaches.
What do you see as being the next big thing in the industry?
From a user’s point of view, “automatic” meeting rooms which just work when users walk into the room. As an AV geek, the launch of AV over IP systems such as the Kramer KDS range removes the need for specialist AV only cables and allows additional inputs and outputs to be easily added.
When you are not working what do you like to do?
When not working, I am currently working on my house, adding smart home systems and doing general DIY. When not working on the house, I play airsoft, as well as competing in Action Air competitions.
What talent do you wish you had?
Having been a percussionist for many years, I always wish I could sing!
Name three famous people you would like to have dinner with and why?
Stan Lee, Nelson Mandela and Bill Hicks. I admire them all individually and it would be an interesting mix of discussions!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Don’t Panic!
