Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has put in place a government-wide collaborative agreement for the provision of telecommunications services to be utilised by central government departments and all other UK public sector bodies including, but not limited to, NHS bodies, local authorities, police and charities. CCS is the largest public procurement organisation in the UK and plays an important role in helping the UK public sector save money when buying goods and services. Last year alone CCS helped 17,000 buyers save £601m of public money using CCS commercial agreements providing the best commercial deals in the interests of taxpayers.
